What is Your Greatest Struggle Online?
Awesome Content: Set Up For Online SuccessI remember the days when I was first beginning how to blog effectively. In those days, I was constantly searching for solutions to problems that I was facing or ideas to improve my overall success. But as I look back, I realize now that my challenges then were very much different than they are today.
But as I continue to grow and move forward, I don’t want to forget the struggles that I faced because it’s those people who are at that stage in their own blogging journey that I want to help the most. My goal is help bloggers take themselves to the next level in their online journey. I want to help people accomplish their goals whether that includes making money, connecting with people, building readers, or helping others.
I’m enjoying my growth through the blogosphere but it’s not enough for me. I want to bring you with me.
Today I’m asking you to help me as I try to help you. Share with me what your greatest struggles are right now. Tell me what questions you have and what obstacles you’re working to overcome.
I’ve already overcome many of the set backs that hinder new bloggers and now I’m at war with mediocrity. In other words, I have a passion to help you be the absolute best that you can be.
As I continue to develop articles and content for this site, what would you like too see included? Is there a tutorial, some advice, some references or anything else that you would like to hear? What article would you like to see posted on this site next week? What topic would you like covered?

My greatest stuggle has always been to strike a balance. I’m not yet working but school can be twice as tough (talk about midterms and finals). Other than that, blogging has been the best thing I’ve ever had… so far

My biggest problem is marketing to right people. Being a student I don’t have huge budgets. I rarely have a budget, free marketing anyone?
Secondly, making the readers comment, interact and stay. How about that? How should I do that?
Third, Creating a ‘responsive’ community, I reply to every comment and still don’t get many.

The greatest struggle online of mine will be lack of time spent on blogging, as I’m a part time student (in Construction field), a full time worker (in Construction company) and a part time blogger. I used to have only 3-5 hours online a day to manage my blog and other of my websites, I hope I can have more time for them.
Time management is what I like to learn and need to find out a solution for a busy people like me.

Oh really?? Any suggestion that you would like to give me based on my situation? I used to do my blogging thingy till late night and sometimes I have little outcome. Everyday, I’ll set only a task for myself since I’ve limited time online, if the task can’t be completed in a day and I’ll spend 2 days time. In this way, I’ll need to take few days to complete complicated task.
Do you have any suggestion for me Nicholas? Appreciate it!
Cheers,
Lee

Greatest struggles and questions (at the moment)
-continuing to write when few people are reading
-I have a .ca domain name. I can purchase the .com domain. Should I do that.
-how can I use Twitter and/or Facebook effectively to drive traffic to my blog.
-are having links listed on a page or sidebar something I should do or is it better to link in some other format
-it will sound silly but I really would like tips on how to interview people.
-should I have another blog to separate my personal thoughts from the stories I tell
-I write stories. I struggle with telling them as me, as a real person, or as a character, which can be any man.
Posting as a character( no actual photo of me) lets people who read the stories imagine me as anything they wish.
Posting as me (the person) would allow me to do video or audio recordings of the stories.
Auuugggghhh…
Anyways, thanks for the article. It made me think..And write,ha,ha..

Again with time management, I work full time, have an online store with a blog, plus I just started a new blog. I write down a new task list almost daily transferring tasks that haven’t been completed (yes I still use pen and paper!) and seem to have problems actually completing tasks before moving on to another. Sometimes this is due to my tasks actually having more than one task involved in completing it….

Well lets see, my struggle is providing content. I’m loving the entire blog movement, however I’m finding it hard for my self to provide some quality content. I have a general idea of what it stems from, my lack of reading and writing while I was growing up. The two was just not me. I have been a audio/visual person my entire life, and now I’m suppose to start writing. But not only write, write quality content. So thats my struggle, however I am determined to not give up. I just signed up Posterous.com, so I’m using it as a means to help my situation. I’m trying to update there daily, to get into the habit of posting, since my post really don’t have to be of real quality or a specific topic.

Nick,
You know of course that I refocused my blog on providing life tips for college students. Well there are many students that don’t feel like leaving a comment because they see it as pointless.
For instance some of my friends will tell me their comment to my face and I would be like you should post that underneath that specific post to allow others to think about what you just said to me. But, they don’t.
So I would like to know how to attract a ‘picky’ audience to comment and participate in group discussion?

My greatest struggle was how to get people to comment on my blog and also how to grow traffic. But I think now I have managed these issues.
To get people to comment more for example is pretty easy. You simply have to be genuinely interested in building a relationship with them.
