Another way to get followers is to have a contest.. exactly as
Nicholas Cardot is doing. It gets followers, retweets, and a huge jump in stats.
I hope that his contest is fair- meaning those of us who joined recently have a chance and it’s is announced via Twitter.
Trust me, Twitter is a very good tool for business if people follow and tweet about you. It can also become someones worst nightmare if people tweet that something is shady or not ‘right’. Numbers and stats plummet.
As for a ‘program’ that increases followers… IMHO I think it is lame. You get followers by being interesting and tweeting something useful.
You might get followers short term with a program, but they wont stay if you dont offer some reason for them staying- much the same as a blog (except you have more than 140 characters!)
Build your following the old fashioned way- reach out, connect, be personable, etc.

Encuestas pagas » While I agree with you, the point here wasn’t to say that it is more important. But I think the argument is like asking which is more important to live air or food? You die without one instantly while the other takes a few days. Having both makes you strong.

hi, I agree Twitter and social media will have a great potencial to make money but as of now. Google and organic search are still much more profitable IMO.

I am usually skeptical of Twitter apps (unless it involves a new app for my blackberry) but I do like the “targeted” way it helps you get followers, so I am checking out the free version.

I am not interested in making money directly from twitter, but finding more people that have the same interests as me is something I don’t always have time to do with twitter searches….

Twitter spinner sounds cool and the price is affordable, but with this tool you will just follow people that you don’t know, and people follow you because you follow them, and you’ll get almost similar number of followers with the number of people that you follow.

But when it comes to make money, we don’t have to care anything about personal or following people that we don’t know, just make the number larger and we would be able to earn some cash.

I have only 1100+- followers right now, I’m not really get into it, but I’ll try to improve the number of followers shortly.

Another way that you can use is through TweetDeck. This is the main method that I’m currently using.

Through the application and ‘search tweets feature’, I will monitor each tweet that contains my target keywords which related to my site i.e. WordPress.

Then, from the tweets, I will find the twitters who usually not my followers that looking for help for their WordPress problem.

From there, you can help them to solve their problem by replying back to them. Therefore, rather just helping them, it will help to build your brand and usually they will follow you.

By doing this, you will get not only well targeted followers but they will also interested with any links that you tweet.
