Take Control of Your Twitter Potential

Dynamite Profits: Profit From Your Passions

Take Control of Your Twitter Potential

I’ve been discovering lately that Twitter has some amazing potential.  It has the ability to connect you with others, to promote your websites or products, and amazingly it has the awesome potential for direct profits.

In fact, recently I launched an article where I offered to use my twitter stream as a means to send traffic to people’s websites at the low rate of only 4 cents per click.  As a result of that article, I had over $165 sent to my paypal account within 48 hours.

Yet even with all of this potential, I’m still hearing people ask if Twitter is really worth it.  Some are still wallowing in obscurity wondering what all the hype is about.

After all, getting started can be difficult.  You can’t just sign up at Twitter and start rolling in cash and making friends.  It takes knowledge and effort.  Read on and I’ll provide you with the knowledge necessary to start using your twitter account to its fullest potential.  I’m even going to show you how to minimize the effort.

Factors in Maximizing Your Twitter Power

If you want to unleash the potential of your Twitter account then you’ve got to focus on a few things.  Here’s what you need to keep in mind.

Number of Followers

One of the first things that you’ve got to focus on is building your followers.  The more people that see your tweets, the more that will be exposed to clicking your links, interacting with you, and retweeting your information.

I receive an average or 0.5% to 2% of clicks for every follower that I have.  In other words, now that I have more than 9,000 followers, I get between 45 and 180 clicks per link that I tweet.

Targeted Followers

Having a mass of followers isn’t necessarily enough if none of them are interested in the topics that interest you.  The goal is to connect with others around the ideas that you’re passionate about.  If you write a blog about technology then you want to target followers who are interested in the latest trends in the world of tech.

Influence

Although this factor is somewhat useless or nonexistent without the first two, it is still perhaps the most important of the three.  Influence is the measure of how often users interact with you, click on your links, and retweet your tweets.  Influence will determine the effectiveness of your twitter account.

Tweet Spinner: Pump Your Twitter Productivity

So how do we maximize our twitter accounts in these three areas?

Tackling those three things can be a difficult challenge.  Thankfully, however, there are applications that can absolutely multiply your efforts by doing some of the work for you.

I use a product called Tweet Spinner and I’ve been watching my twitter account grow by a steady 2,000 to 3,000 followers per month without ever having to do a thing.  It does it all for me.

Tweet Spinner is amazing because it allows you to target users based on your interests.  You can follow people based on keywords in their recent tweets or based on users that they follow.

I’ve been paying the $15 monthly fee for the premium membership at Tweets Spinner and as I mentioned at the onset of this article, my account now has the potential to make $165 dollars over night.  My money was well spent at Tweet Spinner and I invite you to join me on the journey to Twitter bliss.

Relationships Are Still The Key to Real Success

Although it’s great to automate part of the process of building your twitter influence, the core of this work must still be done by you.  You still need to respond to people that you follow.  You need to interact with other users.  You need to get to know people and help others get to know you.

Work on building relationships and you’ll see a dramatic increase in your online influence.

Another way that you can use is through TweetDeck. This is the main method that I’m currently using.

Through the application and ’search tweets feature’, I will monitor each tweet that contains my target keywords which related to my site i.e. WordPress.

Then, from the tweets, I will find the twitters who usually not my followers that looking for help for their WordPress problem.

From there, you can help them to solve their problem by replying back to them. Therefore, rather just helping them, it will help to build your brand and usually they will follow you.

By doing this, you will get not only well targeted followers but they will also interested with any links that you tweet.

Interesting article. I am just really getting started on Twitter and am gradually getting followers, but I have no idea how I would be able to figure out a CTR from any links I put on Twitter. I know I get some from a few reports I have on some of the content sites for which I write, but thats it to this point.

I don’t think I am ready to sign up for anything that costs but may consider it in the future.

BTW, I love your blog and look forward to each post. It is convenient to follow since I added it to my blog roll.

Kidgas –> You can use TweetSpinner for free but to automate anything you need to pay the $15. I used the free version for a while before I upgraded.

Also, I track click-through rates by using URL shorteners like su.pr to track how many people click on a given link.

Twitter is an excellent tool, only if you use it the right way of course. You clearly used it to your advantage, others that don’t often can also be heard complaining about how Twitter stinks.

Twitter is an excellent tool for me on a personal and business level.

The actual amount of followers really does not matter that much. The most important thing is that the followers are targeted and that you have made friends with some of them.

Mostly it is your friends that retweet your posts, it is not the random follower who generally will retweet.

Great post – Retweeted and shared, and even those who may have a following there are points in this article that can relate to them to.

I may have to check out Tweet Spinner though I am often skeptical about anything that “grows your following” but until you try you never know.

Thanks so much for the post and the information, things to consider in becoming more effective at Twitter.

Twitter spinner sounds cool and the price is affordable, but with this tool you will just follow people that you don’t know, and people follow you because you follow them, and you’ll get almost similar number of followers with the number of people that you follow.

But when it comes to make money, we don’t have to care anything about personal or following people that we don’t know, just make the number larger and we would be able to earn some cash.

I have only 1100+- followers right now, I’m not really get into it, but I’ll try to improve the number of followers shortly. :)

Thanks for sharing your tips Nicholas.

    Cheers,
    Lee

I am usually skeptical of Twitter apps (unless it involves a new app for my blackberry) but I do like the “targeted” way it helps you get followers, so I am checking out the free version.

I am not interested in making money directly from twitter, but finding more people that have the same interests as me is something I don’t always have time to do with twitter searches….

Encuestas pagas » While I agree with you, the point here wasn’t to say that it is more important. But I think the argument is like asking which is more important to live air or food? You die without one instantly while the other takes a few days. Having both makes you strong.
