Uh, I retweet your articles most of the time, but I´m affraid not many people see them … and that sucks… Mmm, anyway, if you think someone may want a logo for their blog you can count me as a sponsor.

Competitions are a great way to get your site promoted. Using twitter is a great way; it’s easy to monitor (if they have unprotected updates) and a lot of the people on twitter would be interested in your content too, compared to other mediums.

Wow, this will be a fun and exciting game.

Oh Nick, should we use hashtags or @mention for you to be able to track our tweets?

    Thansk!

Ron Boracay –> No. As long as your statuses aren’t protected then they should be able to be detected by the software that I’m using. It even detects all the links through url shorteners.

This should be another great promoter for your blog. The amount of comments you generated last month was insane. I can’t imagine what the retweets will be like with those great prizes.

It’s so easy, i will surely participate. But i have a question, so the entries is limited, right?
Let’s say there is a 20 article, so max entries can be collected is 20, right?

I don´t think so, Akira. The post says “You may tweet articles as many times as you’d like” – but it´s up to you, cause you can lose followers and of course, be eliminated if you do spam.

      • October 2, 2009

        akira07 said:

Ok then i have a question, what is defined as “spam”, we should make detail rules about it, f.e max tweet 3/days

Anyway, how can nick know my entry? Should we copy tweet url and send it to nick when the contest nearly end?

Why i not see my tweet in recent article tweets?

Arisu –> Exactly right, Arisu. Don’t destroy your own twitter credibility by spamming people.

I was actually curious if any weight would be added regarding the number of followers? Should someone with 20,000 followers to get the same credit as someone with 10? Either way, it’s going to be very successful!

        Nicholas Z. Cardot said:

Blake @ Props Blog Reviews –> I don’t have any way of tracking that without breaking myself. I have a system set up that tracks up links to the site and that’s it. I wish that I could do something like that.

    • October 2, 2009

      Nicholas Z. Cardot said:

akira07 –> There is no limit. However, if someone goes off and starts spamming then I will not allow them in. I don’t have a specific number for spamming but an example is that on the first day someone sent me an email with a list of their tweets that they had tweeted. There were like 50 tweets in an hour. Unfortunately he is no longer in the contest. I want people to win so I’m not going to be excessive. But I’m sure you see how he is hurting his own credibility by shooting that many out that fast and he’s not helping me any because they will just get lost in the twittersphere. Tweet 2 or 3 links and then go read some articles or leave some comments. Then later on tweet a couple more. Don’t spam. That’s the only thing.

Wait..so,we should write our tweet and recapitulate it and then send it to your mail in the end of month? Or all is done by tracking system?

        • October 3, 2009

          Jeff B. said:

It is all done by the automated tracking service he is using. That will make it easy for both us and him. No need to keep track of it yourself. Good luck!

akira07 –> You all don’t have to post twitter id’s on here. I’m not going to write them down or anything. I’m using an automated service to track links to the site from twitter. It even tracks url shortening.

This contest is a bit too late. I’ve been tweeting every post pretty much ever since I started reading your blog :P

It’s great that you chose Fanurio as a prize, because it supports multiple operating systems, unlike the prizes offered in most contests.

So we can justs click on the re tweet button and your software will do all the work and counting?

    • October 5, 2009

      Nicholas Z. Cardot said:

ZXT –> Yes. That’s correct. And I will be posting more information this Tuesday that will provide information on how to ensure that your tweets are being counted. Some get caught in the spam filter of the company that’s tracking them, but they are super good about approving them if you ask them to. So I’ll show you exactly how to do that tomorrow.

Hi Nick, maybe I missed it but did you post what software you are using and how you are tracking our Tweets? I know you just been paid $150 for the hijacking of your blog but I am not sure if I just missed your post.

ZXT –> Sure. I had put together a post explaining the process, but it disappeared in the smoke of this last explosion that I just experienced. I’ll put together another one and explain how you all can track your entries and make sure that they are getting counted. I’ll have that up this weekend. It’s way too much for one comment.
