There is a huge difference between creating a site and running a site. You can hire a designer and content writer to create your website in a matter of days only. However, to run it and to make it successful, you will need to bring potential buyers to your website.
So, how can you attract your market and bring them to your website? Well, today, social media is one of the hottest ways of connecting with your market. You may utilize the powerful of social media marketing to promote your business and bring the most targeted to your website.
Here are 3 powerful social media sites that will allow you to promote your business and products easily and effectively.
YouTube:
YouTube is a social video sharing website where you can uploade short videos to attract your market. Using proper keywords on your page and in your video name will empower you to increase your ranking in search results.
As you know your market, you can create short videos for your market that can attract them. After they watch your video, you may direct them to your website to explore your products and services in great detail. Good quality videos will help you establish your credibility and win the trust of your market. So, ensure that you put in extra efforts to create them professionally.
Stumble Upon:
Stumble Upon is one of the most famous social bookmarking websites on the World Wide Web. It allows you to create a free account and bookmark your favorite links online, instead of saving them on you computer. This way you can access your favorite links from any computer with an internet connection.
Stumble Upon allows you to connect with other users and create your own network of friends. This way when you will add a link, your network will also add it and, thus, you will be able to drive traffic to your site by attracting your friends and even their friends eventually.
Facebook:
Facebook is the number one social networking site. It allows you to meet new people and add friends. This way you can meet potential buyers and also stay in touch with existing clients for repeat business.
Communicating with your market on a one-to-one basis helps you increase your credibility and win the trust of your market…and Facebook lets you do just that. The possibilities are endless when you join new groups and new friends. It’s a great way of giving recognition to your business and bringing relevant traffic to your website.
Conclusion:
Even if your website is attractive and content is compelling, you won’t be able to make any money without buyers. Thus, drive relevant traffic to your website through social media marketing and make your business a success.

Hi Ben,
Recently I’ve gotten around to seeing the power of StumbleUpon. Before that it was Twitter and Facebook.
The surge in traffic that comes from social networks which votes seems to be more active as I get more into the game of blogging.
Digg is the next big hit for me. With SU and Digg combine, both are quite a power pack duo. However, I’ll agree that Facebook is rising. If you want to get into social, getting FB should be on your list, at least a fanpage.

Good post. Only thing I thought lacking was more hands-on tips for exactly how to use these services. For example, creating a fan page on Facebook seems pretty pointless when you’re not that big in the blogosphere. For me, installing WordPresser plugin for WordPress so all my posts are posted automatically on my wall seems the most logical way of showing of your work.

@ Micke I just discussed an overview of these services, will try to write some advance feature of these fantastic tools, good idea micke but wordpresser plugin is an another advance tool, I wrote this post for new business startups.

I know the importance of Twitter as I am a big fan of it, But here I intended to emphasize on only 3 tools, There are so many No-Follow and Do-Follow social bookmarking websites where you can create Buzz for your story, the thing I emphasized on in this article was generating the targeted traffic, you can get tones of traffic by social bookmarking tool including Twitter, but what I was trying to tell is making and creating a targeted niche, you have to create that kind of identity over face book or on your Blog that people has to follow or subscribe you, no matter what tool you are using, I could not include Digg as well, IMHO Digg is the better tool than Twitter for redirecting traffic, I didn’t rank sites in this article, that was only overviews of these 3 fantastic tools, I don’t disagree the power of Twitter and Digg, but for that I have to write a full article as you cannot even cover twitter in a single Post.
I hope you all got the Answer

stumble upon once got me good traffic , but that was only once[2-3 days] . As someone stumbled my post

All are fine you can’t rank any of those, every one got a unique feature, but the thing is that you have got the list of your targeted people.

Interesting list of three sites. Somehow Stumble Upon has never been intuitive to me how to use it. I think I need the book, “Stumble Upon For Dummies.”
The power of facebook is amazing. It seems like with a few hundred fans, you can start to get some significant visits. I notice that many people will not leave a blog comment, yet will write on a facebook fan page the kinds of comments that would be great as a blog comment – So facebook opens up one more way for you to talk to your visitors.
Thanks for the short SM intro!
