Submit Your Guest Post
How to Get Started
- Write your article, format it how you like, and submit it above.
- I’ll review the article, let you know the date and get it published.
- We’ll both sit back and enjoy the feedback from our readers.
Why You Should Guest Post
Site Sketch 101 has been consistently averaging over 15,000 page views per day since October. Guest posting here is a fantastic way to get yourself in front of a broad, new audience especially if you take the time to interact with genuine, conversational comments and are working on building new online relationships to grow your own blog or website.
What I Am Looking For
I’m looking for well-written posts/articles that bloggers and webmasters will be interested in reading. It’s as simple as that. I especially love well-written list posts where you clearly define 10 or more aspects of a subject like 10 Powerful SEO Tips for WordPress Users, 15 Tips to Awesome, Eye-Jerking Post Titles or 15 Irrefutable Qualities of Successful Blogs.
If you’re still having trouble picking out a topic for your article, here’s a few ideas to get you started: writing great articles, promoting your blog, using social media with your blog, WordPress tips, tricks & plugins, building RSS subscribers, building your online presence, blog themes and design. These are only ideas and you’re certainly welcome to be creative and come up with your own topic.
A Few Basic Guidelines
Here are some basic guidelines to help you get started. Most are common sense really.
- Minimum 500+ words.
- Must be original and you agree not to publish it somewhere else.
- You must be willing to make an effort to respond to comments and interact with the conversation on your article.
- Spell check before saving your post(s)
- If you’re not sure, send a sample of your work. (I don’t bite!)
- I reserve the right to edit your post (h3 and strong tags, punctuation, grammar)
- No affiliate links or links to questionable (not safe for work) websites
All guest posts are published on a first come first serve basis. Your post will be published on the first available day after everyone who has submitted an article before you.

First, I very likely won’t publish an article that is that long. The ideal length for posts that I prefer here at Site Sketch 101 is between 400 – 700 words. Very seldom do I go over that amount. Also, make sure that you take the time to ensure that it’s edited very well. It appears that English isn’t your first language and as such, you’ll need to be very careful to ensure that the reading of the article is very smooth and fluid. You might considering having a someone who is a native English speaker to proof read it before you submit it. Also, I rarely have time to write for sites other than this one.
