Attention Writers: Site Sketch 101 Wants You!

If you are reading this page, it’s probably because you are interested in writing for Site Sketch 101. Great! I’m excited that you’re interested and I hope that you’ll join us in providing some great posts to our readers.

If you’re a writer, you’re looking for a place to publish your work and gain a little public recognition, and you can give great advice or write a great article about blogging, web design, search engine optimization, or whatever, then this page will have all the information you need to know for how to start publishing at Site Sketch 101.

How to Get Started

  • Write your article, format it how you like, and email it to me (contact page).
  • I’ll review the article, set the date and get it published.
  • We’ll both sit back and enjoy the feedback from our readers.

What I Am Looking For

Please take some time to read the posts already published, so you get the idea of what Site Sketch 101 is about. I’m looking for well-written posts/articles that bloggers and webmasters will be interested in reading. It’s as simple as that.

If you’re still having trouble picking out a topic for your article, here’s a few ideas to get you started: writing great articles, promoting your blog, using social media with your blog, WordPress tips, tricks & plugins, building RSS subscribers, building your online presence, blog themes and design.  These are only ideas and you’re certainly welcome to be creative and come up with your own topic.

A Few Basic Guidelines

Here are some basic guidelines to help you get started. Most are common sense really.

  • Minimum 400+ words.
  • Must be original and you agree not to publish it somewhere else.
  • Spell check before saving your post(s)
  • If you’re not sure, send a sample of your work. (I don’t bite!)
  • I reserve the right to edit your post (h3 and strong tags, punctuation, grammar)
  • Include a byline/signature in the information block of your profile
  • No affiliate links
  • No links to questionable websites

I publish guest posts on Wednesdays and Saturdays and all guest posts are published on a first come first serve basis. Your post will be published on the first available day after everyone who has submitted an article before you.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me through our contact page. Please put “Guest Post” in the subject line.

David | ilcantone.com –> It is a great opportunity especially if you can get an article published on a site with larger traffic than your own site. This exposes you and your writing to larger numbers of people.

    Hi Nicholas,

Just wanted to let you know that most of the shortlinks you have on your site don’t work.

    If I click this link:

    http://www.sitesketch101.com/?JVWBt6L7

It goes right back to sitesketch’s homepage when it was supposed to go to download Commentluv. This might only be a problem on my computer, but I doubt it.

Keep up the good work! I am in the process of earning enough money to get hosting for my blog, but as soon as I am ready I’d love to do a guest post here!

Davor Gasparevic –> No. It’s not required. It’s required that you be passionate and that you write to provide information and entertainment to my readers about anything related to blogging or building an online presence. I don’t care if it’s poorly written because I’ll work with you and try to help develop you into a better writer. This way you can grow and my readers can grow which in my opinion is what this blog is all about. Don’t be afraid. If I don’t like something, I’ll let you know in a kind way and work something out together. I would definitely love to work with you on this.
