Are you ever planning to make money online? Or even make money from your blog? Building credibility for your blog is one of the best things you can do to get a fair edge over others and to make the best out of blogging.

Below are some great tips on building credibility for your blog.

1. Quality: The type of quality you provide is one of the most important factors in determining the type of credibility your blog will have. It is very important to always provide quality content for your readers, this will make them always respect you and talk about you every where they are, both offline and online thereby adding to your credibility. Providing quality content will also make your readers stay longer on your site and also increase the possibility of them telling others about you.

2. Consistency: Consistency is also another great factor in building credibility for your blog. The more consistent you are the more of an authority you are likely to be and the more credibility you will have.

Your readers like to have someone  they know is always there for them doing what he knows how to do best. Rather than someone who only does something when he feels like doing it. It doesn’t matter how things look, it doesn’t matters how everything goes, and it doesn’t matter how dark the beginning might be, consistency is very important in building a credible blog.

3. Relationship building: Building relationship is critical to achieving credibility for your blog. If you want to achieve credibility for your blog, it is very important to build relationship with other bloggers in your niche.

There are various ways to build relationship with other bloggers in your niche; you can start by commenting on their blogs, interviewing them, writing guest posts for them or networking with them on other social networking sites. The faster you are able to build solid relationship with other bloggers the easier it will be to build credibility for your blog.

4. Transparency: Transparency is a very important and overlooked method of building your blog’s credibility. Your readers will like to know as much as possible about you before they can put their trust in you. It is also very important to have an about page on your blog, make it as easy as possible for your readers to contact you and try to let them know more about you.

5.Interaction: Interaction is also very important to building credibility for your blog. Try to interact with your readers as much as you can because this makes them have a feel of you thereby feeling like they have met you in real life. Take for example, who would you by from if your neighbor or a random person comes across you trying to sell you a product, I bet it is your neighbor.

You should be able to maintain the highest possible level of interaction with your readers by replying to their comments, replying to their emails and getting to them on other social networking sites outside your blogging time. Some great examples of bloggers that are doing this are people like Daniel Socco who tries to write a post about some of the questions his readers ask in the comments section.

6. Authority: Some bloggers don’t talk with confidence while some bloggers talk with confidence even if they are saying something which is not true. Don’t try to be subjective when writing your blog posts, try to be as confident as possible, try to use a voice of authority and confidence when writing your blog posts and when talking outside your blog as this makes people think you are very sure of what you are saying thereby citing you as a source when saying what you wrote to others thereby building your credibility.

Building credibility is one of the most important things any blogger will do because once you have been able to build your credibility then other things will follow and success will be easily achievable. The above are 6 great tips on how to build credibility for your blog.

Well i would disagree about Quality. Its just not possible to ALWAYS provide quality. What when you are just starting? You need some time to get into quality writing and obviously u cant do that all the time.

Your excuse for not providing quality will be the reason people don’t read your writing. Step up your game and stop making excuses, or fade into the shadows of mediocrity.

I truly believe that transparency is the most important.

If you establish yourself and fail at truly showing that, people will wonder or not want to follow you.

If you wrote about writing all the time and you slip up people will do the same.

Anything you say or do must match what you actually do on your blog. If not, there goes transparency and you can forget about all the other points of building your credibility.

Excellent points and Derek made a very good point himself, “Anything you say or do must match what you actually do on your blog.”

basically, walk the talk. Do what you preach, and don’t preach what you don’t know; you will be caught eventually.

Credibility is created by always telling the truth and being open about your relationships. You can tell when some people are telling the truth. It is apparent because the information they are sharing resonates well with you. It becomes obvious that this person must be telling the truth.

If a person always tells it like it is, then it is only a matter of time before his or her readers come to trust their advice.

I think that one of the most important things stated up there is to build relationships with your readers. Without readers, your blog may not function or serve the purpose it was supposed to. It’s the readers that will drive traffic to your blog and participate with you. Therefore, it’s important that you provide great content for them to read and be consistent with your blog posts.

A blog need real readers so as a reader I feel that its important for bloggers to interact with their readers. We may feel that offering quality content is enough to gather readers but readers are mostly to visit a blog again if they felt welcome.
