Inspiration from First Baptist Oviedo

As a web designer you should always be looking for inspiration at every site that you visit. As you browse through various websites, you should constantly be asking yourself, “What concepts from this website could I use to enhance my current projects or improve my skills?” When you learn to think like that you will begin to grow in leaps and bounds in your website development skills.

First Baptist Oviedo is a website with a lot to offer. This site sports a very dynamic layout with a rotating flash banner on the home page, vivid colors, and a crisp look that simply looks professional. The layout is very easy to navigate for even the newest of internet users. Browse this site out and ask yourself that simple question I mentioned above, “What concepts from this website could I use to enhance my current projects or improve my skills?”

I love on how the font or letters are presented. Bold with authority that seems like “effective call to action” thing.

It’s OK to using flash banner but please think of user who have slow internet connection. It’s took about 30 second just to load flash.

Well, my internet connection is not too slow. And 30 second for a flash is not bad. But how if there is a visitor with dial-up connection? Believe or no dial-up connection is still have user.

I actually thought this was First Baptist Video…then I looked closely and there…its about church blog.

Anyways, the site is maybe slow for some and as a web designer I think you need to think where your visitors are coming from. Now that dial up is almost obsolete I think more and more flash site will come up.

The thing is, even if you have a fast internet but if you have a not so fast computer then flash sites is kinda slow too.

It’s fun seeing these older articles, Nick.

Different people were visiting here back then.

Southern Baptists… all their preachers are Drs.

This is reminding me of back home in East Tennessee.

It appears to have grown tremendously since I was there 6+ years ago…
