I’m putting this post up to remind you all that our contest is drawing to a close and also to announce a change to the contest.
Remember that Wednesday, September 30, 2009 is the last day to get your comments in to count toward the $150 in cash that is being given away.
—— Contest Deadline: 9:00 PM – Sept. 30, 2009 ——
Take note of this very important change. The contest will NOT end at midnight on that day. The contest will end at 9:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. The counter will continue to climb past that time, but at 9:00 PM, I will be taking a screen shot of the counter and comments will cease to count toward the cash prizes.

Nick, I’ve noticed that the top commentators widget is sometimes there and sometimes not. I actually noticed this last week when I was using my laptop with IE7. Now that I’m on the PC again it’s not showing up.
Did anyone else notice this?

I usually use firefox, but with this comment of you Andrew, i tested it out with IE and guess what. Nick sidebar is not well aligned at IE. Calling Nick.

I think Nick put it back for a couple of days. It’s hidden for the past 2 days now. Also I’ve tried IE and Mozilla but both gave me the same thing.

I use Safari and Opera and it´s not showing, so I don´t think is a browser issue.

Yes that’s probably what happened. Because last week it was gone for a couple of days then it was back for a couple of days too then it was gone again.
This is getting better I guess.

There is positive and negative effect, after i feel it by myself. Hidding the widget make the competition become interesting. But for someone who have too many difference with 1-3 position confuse, will i still try to reach the top or no? Because it’s uncertain…

I’ll be honest with you guys. It’s not a browser issue. I’ve been turning it on and off just to keep people guessing. I’ve had it off now for a few day but I turn it on every once in a while just so that I can glance at the standings and then I turn it back off.
I think it’s funny that you all though it was a browser issue.

Arisu -> You still have a chance because I had lie low a little for like more than 24 hours because there’s a calamity here in our country. 140 died so far and 400 thousands individuals affected of the Typhoon that left dozens and dozens of cities and provinces under water.

Here we´ve had our share of rain due to the hurracane season, but it has never been that bad… Mexico´s Golfo and the Pacific Ocean have been gentle with us, for now.

Friends are the best you can get out of this contest, but you can always have the friends and the money if you work for them.
Is the same with blogging… would you stop improving cause you already made friends with some of your readers? would you choose between friends/income/fame even if you can have it all with hard work?

I also don´t get how can Akismet “ban” someone… it just prevents the spam from showing, right? Mmm, I guess you can test that by not putting your sites url and seeing if it lets you post a comment – but that´s just too weird…
