I firmly believe in the direct sales model when entering a business. I think that we do not really have to be concerned about branding, but promoting a service directly. To illustrate, i would much better prefer to have freetemplates.com, rather than monstertemplates.com. I'm building a large part of my brand around ME, and no that's not to say I'm egotistical. lol I'm saying my brand is all about personability, one-to-one coaching...you call my # "I" answer, you email me, "I" reply, etc., so forth, you get the gist. Hence, one of the main reasons I moved everything to my personal domain. I think I just need to associate that better with what I actually coach - direct sales marketing for beginners, and I think that can be done with a better logo. Any thoughts? I do think branding is very important, and even though this goes the other way by Mike's quote - I do feel that there is a certain amount of branding to be done visually. I tried to brand my blog by selling a theme that looked like the custom one I made. Some say it would have hurt my brand, but I think it has improved the visual branding of the blog so much more. I owned a red '89 4x4 for 11 years, loved that truck! Corolla wagon before that. I went with a Honda for my current car as it was less expensive and had better reliability rating. This year's debacle is the result of a long slide.
