Congratulations to all of the winners. Just wondering, if anyone of them doesn’t claim the prize, can I take it then? ;)

Anyway, this is a great opportunity for you to get some interesting statistics. Gather all the e-mail from the people who entered in the contest and then wait for two weeks. Then you can check how many of them have unsubscribed. This would be interesting information for everyone who runs a contest like these and I’m certain you’ll get a few backlinks of it.

Hm, I got this error the first time I tried to comment on this post. Not sure if you were doing something with the source code?

Funny how non of the winners have commented… if they have been kidnaped by aliens or turned into zombies… can the first 5 commenters have a price instead? ^^

I think my next contest will be comment based. In fact, I think I have the perfect idea for one. I enjoy having people subscribe to the content here, but I think that I would rather reward those who are interacting on the site. I love the interaction and the connection that I get to enjoy with my readers.

Ok, that explains it Nicholas. Just thinking, wouldn’t it be a good idea to add threaded comments here? I know it would probably not look as good but it would be more handy.

I will have to agree with Stefan about threaded comments. I believe it is the new thing. Google Wave is doing it as well.

BTW, congrats to all the winners!

Jeff B. & Stefan » Alright. I’ve did some research last night and here’s what I cam up with. This template is not compatible with the threaded comments plugin that I found. So that means that when I implement it, it displays really weird. So I’m going to devote a few hours, probably Saturday morning, to implementing it and rewriting the plugin so that it will display properly with my template. I like the idea but it’s going to take a lot of work. Thanks for the honest feedback. Hopefully by Saturday afternoon we will have it up and running.

I think a comments-based contest would be great. I’m already subscribed to the RSS feed, and I get updates from my RSS reader almost an hour earlier than the email updates.
