It does sacrifice some functionality/practicality, at least for those not willing to spend a little extra time navigating the non-traditional site, but given it's target market, i think this is probably acceptable. http://www.luxjuice.lu is another site i think is very well put together, not as powerful technically as sensisoft but the feel is very evocative and the style smooth.
