So many sophisticated gadgets and electronics got released but using a pen and paper is still very much in use. Scribbling down is always quicker. I think its a great idea to scribble down and then later on select the topics.

Nicholas, I am really enjoying reading all your blogging tips. I decided early on (well, really, it’s still early on; I’ve only been blogging since February) to post just once a week. I thought it was a schedule I could stick with, and it seems to be working. So I post every Friday morning. I’m a food blogger who is much more at home at the stove than at the computer!

I suppose your list covers it all. I am very good on taking notes and I always carry a notebook with me to take notes on my thoughts for future posts and implementations. I also maintain a diary in which I carry a record of my posts.

Do you think it’s a good idea to try writing a test or practice blog? Or is it not worth the effort and it’s better to go with your “main blog” right from the beginning?

I do take notes when ideas suddenly pope up into my head. I’ll usually write it down using my mobile phone, which is much handy. But one thing I haven’t practiced yet is to write down notes while reading articles or blog posts. This would be one good skill and habit that I MUST start practicing.

Something that I find really useful for remembering things, particularly practical tasks or tips is simply by going over them. It’s great if we can all read articles on “getting more traffic” or “how build links” but it’s another to actually carry these tasks out. By spending 5 or so minutes practising the things that you’ve learnt,you’ll find it easy to remember them for a really long time.

Three items that I have found to be very beneficial for me are: staying on top of other blogs in my niche, taking notes, always having the project in mind.

But, I will admit I tend to forget having the overall project, goal, or vision in mind. Losing focus is certainly not good, so I am pushing myself to get everything figured out and get to the next levels to accomplish the vision I have.

In regards to taking notes and being different you can take lots of notes and either take them, learn from them, and be different or do exactly what you have just noted. Courage will only tell and your personal will.
